Love Monster

Based off the book, Love Monster, by Rachel Bright, this monster printable has endless possibilities for creating! Some of our favorite ideas by age groups include:

6M-2yo Cut out some triangles and circles to cover monsters eyes and teeth before placing the printout in to a large plastic bag with a few squirts of paint, then seal and let them squish the paint around. Remove, peel off your white teeth/eye papers and let dry.

2-4 Fork or finger paintings are messy but so fun for this age group. Plus, we love the texture that fork painting provides for these hairy monsters. You can also use the edge of a piece of cardboard to "stamp" some fur.

5+ These kiddos are ready for any art medium, with supervision. Crayon and watercolor resists are fun, watercolor markers or pencils, or some simple tempera paint. You could even snag some glow-in-the-dark paint for some extra scary monsters!

As an added bonus, you can have your school-aged kiddos write a sentence or short story about their monster.
